Opportunistic diseases are the contagious diseases that seize the opportunity of weak immunity to attack the weakened body of a an HIV infected person. The list of opportunistic diseases includes tuberculosis (TB), dermatitis, mouth ulcers, digestive system infections and others. To avoid opportunistic diseases:

  • Visit the health facility regularly
  • Consult the doctor if you have any symptoms
  • Administer the medications prescribed by your doctor on time as prescribed
  • Observe personal and food hygiene
